Comfort level: on our 0 to 10 Comfort Scale, with 0 being the softest and 10 the firmest, this mattress is rated a 5.0 MEDIUM.  The cozy and breathable stretch-knit cotton cover and top layer of natural latex reduce pressure points and provide surface conformance, while the pocketed coil innerspring provides the perfect adaptive and conforming support for proper ergonomic alignment.

Construction:

  • 6" thick.
  • A stretch-knit cover made with certified organic cotton.
  • A quilt layer of organic wool provides an all-natural flammability barrier; contains no fiberglass or toxic flame retardants.
  • 2" of certified organic dunlop latex.
  • A 4" pocketed coil support system.  Each spring is individually wrapped and provides excellent adaptive support while limiting motion transfer.  Coil count ranges from 512 coils in a Twin size, up to 890 coils in a Full size.
  • Absolutely NO fiberglass, NO polyurethane foams, NO rayon-poly blends, and NO toxic fire retardants contained in this mattress.

    Not a true twin, not 75x38

    "We've had this mattress for about a year. It's ok, but it's about 3" shorter than an actual Twin from any other company. This causes two problems: 1. It doesn't fill the mattress cavity in the bed frame completely, leaving a long, hard place for our toddler to hurt herself on (we stuff it with a pillow because there's no other choice,) 2. Regular Twin sheets don't fit it. A normal Twin is 38"x75", and this mattress is 38"x72"-ish. It's also very thin at about 5"-6". Ergo, finding sheets that fit it nicely is extremely difficult and overly expensive when you can find some. Any sheets you find for this mattress due to the thin-ness will be very baggy in both directions. Your only choice will be to use elastic clips to snug everything up so the baby isn't swimming around in loose/sloppy sheets. It would be much better if the length was the standard 75". At the end of the day, I wish we'd bought anything else. This thing is a headache. I want to get rid of it and put in something that just fits the very normal frame we have, and I can stop worrying about our little one hitting her head or otherwise hurting herself. The only reason we bought it was to satiate my wife's obsession with the "organic" baloney and it checked that box for her - at an extreme price for what we got. She pretends to not to be annoyed with it, I do not."

    Good but small

    "Mattress expanded quickly with no weird smells. My daughter sleeps well and does not get overheated, I have slept on it with her a few times and it is comfortable. My only complaint would be it is not as long as advertised, it is several inches too short so I had to put rolled blankets in the gap between the frame."
