The fitted, lightweight pad is waterproof, machine-washable, and dependable in protecting your mattress from life’s little accidents. The waterproof polyurethane layer derived from cornstarch is thin, so you don’t have a plastic-like crinkle or rubbery noise and won’t overheat. Plus, it’s sandwiched by two soft GOTS-certified organic cotton layers.

• Sandwiched between these layers is an ultra-thin, breathable waterproofing layer made from polyurethane derived from Susterra® propanediol. This propanediol is sourced from natural corn starch and is a USDA-certified bio-based product. Unlike traditional petrochemical alternatives such as 1,4-butanediol (BDO), Susterra® propanediol is renewably sourced and generates up to 48% fewer greenhouse gas emissions from cradle-to-gate (raw material to factory gate). This means it is plant-based and petrochemical-free, utilizing sustainable and renewable resources.
